Mrs. Sulik began her dance training in Alabama and Mississippi. She received a BA Degree in Dance and French from Mississippi State College for Women. She was a member of the MSCW Performing Ensemble which toured the South to create interest in the performing arts on university levels. Upon graduation she performed with the Houston Youth Symphony Ballet and studied Ballet and Modern Dance in Europe. 

She was a staff member at Del Mar College teaching Ballet and taught French at Incarnate Word Academy for many years. Her interest in dance-in-education fostered the growth of Educational Ballet Matinees, Student Performing Arts Series, Artists-In-Dance Residencies, and a yearly performance season with guest artists, master teachers, and choreographers. She is the coordinator of the Encore Program which provides student participation in the arts in the CCISD and other area schools. She is one of the organizers of the Student Performing Arts Series, inaugurated in 1988. SPAS brings classical ballet, symphonic music, and professional theatre to many students during the public school year. 

As the director of Ballet Academy, official school of Concert Ballet, she has developed the Early Childhood Music and Movement dance program for children 3-7 years old based on techniques to develop academic skills and increase creative potentials in young children promoting the development of the total child. For the past four years to the present, she serves as the Fine Arts Coordinator for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers with CCISD – providing degreed teachers in music, violin, dance, and theatre arts in 8 middle schools and 6 elementary schools.
